Reiki





What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a form of stress reduction and relaxation, done by laying hands in a non-invasive and gentle way. Reiki treatments are known to relieve pain, decrease stress and anxiety, and eventually bring a greater sense of well-being. While encouraging balance to one’s body, mind, and spirit, our natural ability to heal increases with Reiki.

My Story:

Reiki found me at a time when I needed a certain help I couldn't even figure out. My life had changed completely from different circumstances (yes, life happens!) and I found myself lost in doubt of which path to take and leaning more to just staying put and watching life go on instead of flowing along with it. After a long time friend in a different country sent me Reiki one day, I started to see the louds dissipate in my own horizon. I knew I had a purpose in life, and just wasn't sure what it was, but it was worth searching for.

From there, I learned Reiki I in the beginning of 2008, and was so excited to be able to help myself and other people heal. Little did I know, it would work with me deeply to help me find my purpose and fulfillment. After a few months, I proceeded to take Reiki II, with the goal of sending healing to my mother, living in another country. It opened up so many opportunities for me that I could compare the effects from it to sailors finding new land in the late 1400's!

So much happened in my life after that, and in January 2011 I was guided to become a Reiki Master. Since then, I have taught Reiki I, Reiki II, and also Reiki Master classes. I am delighted to share this healing work with everyone who feels inclined to try it, as I also offer individual Reiki treatments as a practitioner for those who would like to experience a session, but are not ready yet to take a class.
